Volunteers with the WELLIES project recently had some great fun making bird boxes ready for installation along the River Dove in Derbyshire as part of the Transforming the Trent Valley scheme. They have been on riverside walks looking at the flora and fauna, installing the fantastic bird boxes they have made ready for bird nesting season and will be doing a litter pick too.

It’s great to see the fantastic work that the volunteers at the WELLIES project have done over recent months with all their hard work building the bird boxes and keeping the River Dove clean and litter free. We are sure that come nesting time, every single bird box will be occupied. Thank you for all your hard work!
