People and landscape

Folklore, mythology and intangible cultural heritage

Our folklore, folk tales, and mythology, the stories we tell about our place in the landscape inform our sense of who we are, individually and collectively. We will investigate and record these stories to keep them alive for future generations.

Our stories tell us not only about how people in the past viewed their world, they help to inform who we are today, and feed into our sense of identity. Some are very ancient indeed, others only perhaps a generation or two. We will investigate these and help preserve them for the future, as well as enjoy them in the present.
