Yesterday evening (Monday 27th February) the Transforming the Trent Valley team was invited by The Climate Coalition to Westminster for The Green Heart Hero Awards 2023 where we had received a nomination in the Outdoor Project Green Hero category.

The evening was hosted by broadcaster and presenter Kay Burley and the awards honoured and recognised Green Heroes from forward-thinking schools and businesses, exemplary projects and initiatives, and inspiring individuals, all championing the climate change cause. We were nominated for our ambitious projects combining river restoration and wetland creation with heritage, communities and access.

We are very proud to have won our category and receive the recognition for our hard work and positive change.
