Would you like to take part in the Trent Valley Past & Present fixed point photography challenge?
You will need to provide a montage, or series of photos, of a historic or heritage feature – e.g. a building, monument or landscape feature – taken over the period of a year. covering all seasons, capturing the connection with landscape throughout the changing seasons e.g. weathering, visiting fauna and changing flora.
Photographs should be taken within the Trent Valley, Trent tributaries and catchment areas. For guidance, check out the Trent Valley Past and Present shaded area, with a red border, on the Trent Valley Map.
You should choose a place you have a personal connection with.

You – or a partner, friend or family member – may wish to create a comment on your personal connection to your chosen location, e.g. through writing a short poem or prose piece about your choice of site, to submit with your photos. Please label this with place name, date written & initials of writer. Submit with your photos and how you, or the writer(s), would like their name(s) to be displayed.
We want this activity to be available to as many participants as possible. If you are unable to contribute photographs, perhaps you have other creative skills – such as creative writing or sound recording – please do get in touch and tell us about your ideas.
As a participant in this project, you grant Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and irrevocable worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce the items submitted, and extracts thereof, with the attribution – as provided by yourself – for reproduction under the terms of a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license.
