Five years of projects that are Transforming the Trent Valley

Celebrating our successes

We are celebrating 16 projects that set out to transform the Trent Valley. By helping wildlife, nature and communities over the past 5 years, we have created a resilient, accessible, beautiful and culturally rich landscape. But what was at stake?

The Trent Valley experiences regular flooding, suffers from habitat degradation, and communities have turned their backs on the river. The Transforming the Trent Valley Partnership has come together to tackle these issues.

Our short film was officially launched in September 2023 and showcases our achievements since we started in 2019. Follow our journey as we discuss the successes, challenges and highlights of this wonderful scheme.

All of this is just a taste of what we have been able to achieve. To find out more, visit our Discover pages to learn what goes in to transforming a river valley.

Childhood memories

We are always on the look out for volunteers to help us achieve our aims. Maybe you have a few hours a week to help with conservation activities, heritage surveys or footpath surveys. Maybe you are a budding photographer and will photograph the landscape for us. Maybe you have a particular interest and want to help us with research to expand our knowledge of the area?

There are many upcoming opportunities to volunteer your time and skills. Visit our volunteer pages and make sure you keep checking back as things are always happening.
